Meet and greet at Johannesburg Airport. Our staff will brief you about the 14-day trip as we prepare to get started. Later, jump on a charter flight from Johannesburg to Mana Pools via Bulawayo.

Mana Pools National Park covers an area of 220,000 hectares (2,196 square kilometers or 848 square miles). It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the Lower Zambezi Valley of northern Zimbabwe.
The park is part of a much larger protected ecosystem that includes several adjacent safari areas, totaling almost 1.7 million hectares of wilderness. Mana Pools is characterized by its tranquility, wide open spaces, close encounters with wildlife, and unblemished natural terrain. It is renowned for its walking safaris, canoe safaris, and large numbers of animals like crocodiles, hippos, buffalo and elephant.

Start your day with a scenic helicopter flight over Victoria Falls en route to Matetsi River Lodge, after a great breakfast. Experience 30 minutes over the largest waterfall in the world with the sheet of falling water it produces, measuring 1,708 meters wide and 108 meters high. Later, land in the Matetesi private game reserve, a home to an extensive number of species. Zebra, giraffe and buffalo, as well as the enormous herds of elephants. Spot African wild dogs, hyenas, and track the largest prides of lions you will ever see in your entire life. This is also your chance to experience the lives of leopards and cheetahs in the wild.
Before the end of your three days, we will take you back to Victoria falls through the Victoria rainy forest, a journey that not only affords a view of one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World but provides a great deal of interesting facts about the geology, wildlife and history of Africa’s most famous landmark.

Sitting north of the Okavango, the Linyanti is home to some of Botswana’s most exclusive lodges and camps. Due to the fact that the reserve is private, there are no limitations to the activities on offer as in the National Park, so it is possible to do game drives at day and at night, as well as walking safaris, boating, fishing and sleepouts in the reserve’s various hides. Jump on a light aircraft flight to Mombo on day 10.

It’s market day in Lausanne! Enjoy browsing and packing a picnic lunch for our 11 a.m. boat cruise on Lake Geneva. A few miles down-shore we’ll dock at Château de Chillon, where we’ll have a guided tour of this delightfully medieval castle on the water. On our way back we’ll take time to peek into the vineyards surrounding Lutry before returning to Lausanne. Boat: 2 hrs. Bus: 1 hr. Walking: moderate.
